Chicken and Rice Balls

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup rice soaked in cold water for 30 minutes, drained
  • 500 g chicken mince
  • 3 shallots chopped
  • 3 shiitake mushrooms chopped finely
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon gluten-free chilli paste
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • teaspoons salt
  • Gluten-free soy sauce to serve (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Combine chicken, shallots, mushrooms, oyster sauce, chilli paste, garlic, ginger and salt. Mix well.
  • Roll into walnut sized balls then roll in rice.
  • Place in baking paper lined steamer baskets leaving room in between balls. Steam over boiling water for about 30 minutes or until balls and rice are cooked. Serve with soy sauce, if desired.
