Slow Cooker Devilled Sausages (Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free)

Ingredients
 

  • 8 gluten-free pork sausages
  • 1 yellow onion sliced into 1cm-thick rings
  • 1 apple cored, peeled, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free BBQ sauce
  • 400 g tin gluten-free crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free cornflour
  • mashed potato to serve (optional)
  • steamed greens to serve (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Arrange sausages, onion and apple in the base of a slow cooker.
  • Whisk together remaining ingredients to form a sauce. Pour over sausages and onion. Cook, covered, on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  • Serve with mashed potato and steamed greens.
